Season opens April 26th. A high water opener, big black or flashy streamers fished slow on the swing will take smallmouth.
Lake Erie Ohio Tribs
Vermillion - Low and clear fishing has been good.
Grand - Clearing steelhead can be found throughout the system.
Rocky - Fresh push of fish have arrived.
Conneaut - Fish are spread throughout the system.
Chagrin - Fresh push of fish have arrived.
Suggested Ohio Trib patterns; Steelhead buggers, sucker spawn, crystal meth, rabbit spey's, minnow patterns, and a variety of eggs.

Pere Marquette
Steelhead & Trout fishing is going strong right now. Steelhead can be found on or near gravel. Egg patterns such as glo bugs and nukes have been taking fishing. Trout have been responsive to streamers and salmon fry patterns.
Muskegon
Steelhead have peaked. Most fish are on or near gravel. Eggs, salmon fry, stone flys, and hex nymphs are working well.
Manistee
Steelhead have peaked. At this time water levels are dropping and clearing.
Ausable
Water conditions will be prime for saturdays opener. Hendrickson, mahogonys, black caddis, and stones should be in your fly box. Dont forget a selection of nymphs and streamers.
